An absolute must-read from Don Norman and Bruce “Tog” Tognazzini, two heavyweights in the field of usability. On top of that, Tognazzini was heavily involved in the development of the early interface guidelines at Apple, which gives him a unique perspective on the matter.

Addendum: Just had the acute misfortune of using the Photos app whilst assisting my father on his iMac. Photos – what an absolute piece of RUBBISH!!! Worst interface design I have EVER seen from Apple. If you want a great example of the article above, just try using Photos.

Even the New York Times is reporting on the acute decline in quality of Apple Software (read it now).
